The Basque Hydrogen Corridor was created with the objective of creating a hydrogen ecosystem, based in Euskadi, that allows progress in the decarbonization of the energy, industrial, residential and mobility sectors, as was made clear in its public presentation on the 22nd. of February.
This is an initiative led by Petronor and Repsol, accompanied in its genesis by 7 institutions, 14 knowledge centers and business associations and 50 companies, adding up to 71 organizations with full capacity to make it a reality through dozens of projects throughout the chain. of value.
The project is based on Repsol's strategic decision to invest in Euskadi to continue advancing in the energy transition with an eye toward its goal of being a net zero emissions company by 2050. In this context, Petronor has opted to convert Euskadi in a hydrogen hub, as one of the pillars with which to move towards a green productive economy
