NYC CLIMATE WEEK 3RD ANNUAL CLIMATE TECH INVESTMENT MEETING
New York City, September 24, 2025 — The third annual Climate Tech Investment Meeting, hosted during NYC Climate Week, brought together a growing network of global climate and energy transition investors. Organized by the New York-based Altru Institute and Singapore-based Atlas Capital, this event aims to showcase promising technologies for global investors.
ARCELORMITTAL'S IRINA GORBOUNOVA JOINS CHAR TECH BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
Clean Steel expert Irina Gorbounova, VP of M&A and Head of the XCarb® Innovation Fund, has joined the board of Toronto based CHAR technologies. She is recognized as an expert in carbon-neutral steelmaking. In July 2023 ArcelorMittal made a $6.6M strategic investment in CHAR a small publicly traded company which has advanced a high temperature pyrolysis technology with reduced carbon intensity for steel making. AcelorMittal is the largest global steelmaking company by volume.
WASTE TO ENERGY FACILITIES ARE ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE, COMPATIBLE WITH NEARBY COMMUNITIES
When you compare the environmental performance of WTE vs. landfills — the only other solution for disposing of garbage — the comparisons are favorable. That’s because landfills emit methane, which the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency calls a “climate super-pollutant,” that is many times more potent than carbon dioxide and is responsible for approximately one-third of the warming from greenhouse gases occurring today.
INFENER BEGINS ON HYDROGEN TRANSPORT HUB IN NEUMUNSTER GERMANY.
The planned hub is set to produce up to 5,000 tonnes of green hydrogen per year from 2026 with an installed electrolysis capacity of 50 megawatts. Other plants currently produce an average of around 1,500 tonnes. This is the first of many hubs that INFENER wants to build throughout Europe (including in Germany, Spain and Norway) and thus make a decisive contribution to decarbonization.
HYDROGEN AMERICAS SUMMIT. WASHINGTON DC
The June 11 and 12 at the Ronald Reagan International Center in Washington DC. featured two days and over 100 speakers and experts from the most significant corporations and organizations in the Hydrogen space. And numerous new and emerging companies some with breakthroughs in hydrogen presented. A core theme was the importance of collaboration in this fast growing and fragmented market.
HDEX TO BUILD GLOBAL HYDROGEN EXCHANGE.
One of the architects of the NASDAQ has launched plans for a global hydrogen Exchange. HDEX will combine blockchain technology to create a seamless trading platform for the global hydrogen business. HDEX goal is to offer global hydrogen trading on our platform and empower anyone anywhere to buy, sell, and trade hydrogen. HDEX has developed a regulated and licensed platform for issuing and trading digital securities on publicly listed stocks, bonds, commodities, ETFs and Pre-IPO companies.

It will host meetings in New York during Climate week and in Davos Switzerland. The urgency of this is described in an op ed as to the impossibility of achieving net zero given our current approach.
